    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the SVP of Finance and Accounting, the Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all corporate finance matters, including oversight of the accounting close, payroll, tax compliance, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.  Additionally, the Finance Manager will be responsible for strategic and forward-looking financial planning and analysis of the Related Beal platform to support senior management decision making.

     

    The Finance Manager will also be responsible for governance of Related Beal’s management fee arrangements, corporate controls, and policies and procedures documentation.

     

    • Provide strategic financial planning and analysis for Related Beal, including:
    • Lead the preparation of the annual budget and 5YP process.
    • Create comprehensive business plan models with analysis on critical issues, risks and opportunities with the goal of improving cash flows and business operations.
    • Prepare quarterly senior management reporting packages with budget variance analysis, cash flow forecasting and headcount reporting.
    • Collaborate with Development and Project teams to prepare monthly corporate and project cash flow forecasts.
    • Oversee the accounting close process and day-to-day accounting for the Related Beal corporate entities.
    • Govern Related Beal’s management fee agreements for development, construction, property management and other services to ensure fee arrangements are benchmarked to industry standards and agreements are executed timely and accurately; oversee the management fee billing and collections process.
    • Review and authorize payments out of the corporate entities, including review of intercompany allocations.
    • Lead the annual financial reporting and tax compliance process with 3rd party service providers.
    • Lead various Related Beal process improvement initiatives, including implementing JD Edwards accounting software and Hyperion financial planning; support various system enhancements and efficiency initiatives led by Related Companies.
    • Document key policies, procedures and controls.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

     

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of combined work experience in FP&A and Accounting; CPA with some public accounting experience is advantageous.
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; advanced degree, a plus.
    • Strong background in financial modeling, accounting and controls.
    • Experience with JD Edwards and Hyperion, a plus.
    • Experience in a real estate development, construction or investment company preferred.
