    Responsibilities

    The Payroll Analyst will help determine that construction labor costs we are incurring on specific projects are reasonable, and will also help develop and maintain reporting tools to clearly communicate that to management. This will involve taking already established processes and standards and raising them to new levels. To accomplish this, the Payroll Analyst will interface with a number of different parties, including but not limited to Related IT, Related Project Managers, Related Management, Related Accounting, CM’s and subs, and other 3rd parties as required. The ideal candidate is a highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly and efficiently.

     

    • Construction payroll expertise required.
    • Develop useful connections for payroll data comparisons (i.e. OCIP, swipe data, premium time, worker ratios, billing etc.).
    • Work closely with data analyst to create user/consumer driven reporting.
    • Review payroll data files received for completeness, accuracy, consistency and reasonableness.
    • Validate payroll compliance with PLA and other contractual commitments.
    • Identify swipe data/payroll hours discrepancies compared to hours submitted and communicate to Related Mgt., then meet with vendors.
    • Working with contractors, create and maintain a central, historical database of field labor rates, including PLA rates.
    • Working with contractors, create and maintain a central, historical database of payroll data based upon predetermined fields of information.
    • Interface with IT regarding system issues and updates.
    • Work with 3rd parties regarding requests for information.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business
    • 3 to 5 years of experience working with construction payroll and underlying data
    • Excellent written and communication skills
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills
    • Mature professional with sound judgement and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency required with standard suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and MSRS
    • Proficiency preferred with Tableau data reporting tool
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently with attention to details
