    The Corporate Accounting group is responsible for the daily accounting operations of numerous Related business entities. The group analyses financial results, assesses operational processes & internal control and leads the completion of the year-end audit. Complete the quarterly/annual consolidation of 450 plus entities and the preparation of internal/external financial reporting.


    The Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will be primarily responsible for the accounting of various portfolios with high profile investments.  The Senior Accountant position, located in New York will report to the Controller, Corporate Accounting.   


    • Assist in the consolidation of residential, retail and office platforms and parent company reporting
    • Assist in the drafting of 10Q/10K equivalent reports for quarterly and annual reporting
    • Prepare account reconciliations and cash flows for the consolidated and standalone legal entities
    • Prepare balance sheet and income statement variance analysis for management under GAAP
    • Review and analyze the general ledger, financial statements and prepare appropriate accrual and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
    • Prepare detailed quarterly and year end work papers
    • Assist in the management of auditor engagements for completion of annual audit reports
    • Participate in various business process and technology integration initiatives
    • Act as liaison between Corporate and other departments to maintain the proper flow of information and reporting
    • Special projects as assigned by management


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • 3+ years of professional experience, CPA and public accounting experience preferred
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP/accounting theory
    • Consolidations experience using HFM a plus
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently with attention to details
    • Mature professional with sound judgement and interpersonal skills
    • Strong analytical ability
    • Excellent written and communication skills
    • Knowledge of JD Edwards a plus
    • Proficiency with standard suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
