    the Lathrop redevelopment will be comprised of 1,208 units: 504 market-rate, 212 affordable-rate, 400 dedicated to public housing residents and 92 existing senior housing units which will remain untouched. Edging Bucktown, Roscoe Village and Lincoln Park, the Lathrop community stretches some 34 acres along the Chicago River. The lush green and open space — originally designed by legendary landscape architect Jens Jenssen — will be fully restored by Michael Van Valkenburgh and Associates, including the iconic two-acre Great Lawn.

    Your Role Within the Company:

    The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all the overall maintenance of the site and keeps the regional office fully informed of the site’s status for a 208 unit affordable housing community in Buffalo, NY. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor performs all duties in compliance with company policies and procedures, the Equal Employment Opportunity, Fair Housing and Human Rights statutes. Reporting directly to the Property Manager/Regional Manager. 

     

    Core Responsabilites: 

     

    • Preventative/scheduled maintenance program and staff supervision.
    • Repairs projects.
    • Purchase and maintains materials, supplies, inventories and good vendor relations.
    • Site custodial work and staff supervision.
    • Site ground work and staff supervision.
    • Cycle painting – interior/exterior.
    • Apartment renovations/turns and staff supervision.
    • Site extermination program.
    • Investigate accidents.

    Qualifications

    • Previous maintenance experience in various maintenance areas including: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building operations.
    • Good organizational and planning skills.
    • Must be service oriented.
    • General computer knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Specific licenses and/or certifications may be required
    • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
    • Experience working with REAC (Real Estate Assessment Center)
    • SNOW REMOVAL
