The Assistant Marketing Director will assist in managing marketing responsibilities for CityPlace, including all brand communication, tenant relationships, website and social media content managements/updates, and year-round event planning and management. This person will report directly to Related Companies’ Director of Marketing & Experience, managing and working with the teams on all marketing efforts for Related’s CityPlace property as well as liaising with outside partners and vendors.


Ideal candidates will be confident, highly motivated team players with a strong interest in creative and engaging hospitality experiences within an urban district in downtown West Palm Beach. They will have an ability to effectively communicate with others. Some knowledge and interest of the West Palm Beach market and key industry-specific marketing tools is preferred.  Understanding of new media platforms and website content management systems is also very valuable. Candidate should be comfortable with coordination, planning, research and campaign execution and management, as well as taking the lead on large scale public events.



  • Assist in developing and implementing strategic sponsorship and marketing plan with an emphasis on increasing NOI
  • Cultivate strong tenant relationships and manage tenant communication tools; manage promotional strategies to push traffic adapting to a variety of tenant needs
  • Track budgets, assist with invoicing and keep organized records
  • Evaluate and track sales performance and the effectiveness of various promotions and special events
  • Develop engaging and memorable programming that increases awareness, drives traffic to the tenants and creates goodwill in the community; emphasis during the holiday months
  • Execute and manage monthly events from permits, contracting, marketing and organization
  • Create strategic partnerships locally and regionally, with emphasis on area hotels, convention center, arts and culture organization and corporate partners

  • Manage the marketing events budget and help the Director of Marketing & Experience with the annual budget and planning
  • Responsible for marketing inventory which includes equipment, rentals, and promotional items
  • Respond to all customer services inquiries via website, email and social media
  • Act as liaison between CityPlace operations team and tenants for marketing communications


  • BA or BS degree with emphasis in Marketing, Business or Communications
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic marketing, event management, advertising, sales, sponsorship and budgeting
  • Knowledge of retail management, marketing and advertising and working knowledge of media industry
  • Exceptional negotiating skills
  • Event planning experience
  • Well-developed oral and written skills
  • Sound fiscal management and budgeting skills
  • Excellent Word Processing, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings
  • Some overnight travel may be required
