Responsibilities

  • Assist in the accounting for residential, retail and office platform activities and transactions
  • Assist in the drafting of 10Q/10K equivalent reports for quarterly and annual public reporting
  • Prepare cash flows for the consolidated and standalone legal entity
  • Prepare balance sheet and income statement variance analysis for management under IFRS and GAAP
  • Review and analyze the general ledger, financial statements and prepare appropriate accrual and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare detailed quarterly and year end work papers
  • Assist in the management of auditor engagements for completion of quarterly review and annual audit reports
  • Participate in various business process and technology integration initiatives
  • Act as liaison between Corporate and other departments to maintain the proper flow of information and reporting
  • Special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years of real estate experience, CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/accounting theory
  • IFRS knowledge a plus
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Mature professional with sound judgement and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with standard suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Consolidations experience using HFM a plus
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently with attention to details
