Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze the general ledger, financial statements and prepare appropriate accrual and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist in the month end, quarter end, and year end closing processes
  • Assist in the allocation of various expenses across business lines
  • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly and year end work papers, including reconciliations of all relevant accounts
  • Review invoice billings and the respective coding on a timely basis
  • Identify and release weekly payments of outstanding payables
  • Assist in the compilation of information for the overall Company year-end audit
  • Coordinate with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments to ensure proper accounting
  • Collaborate with other finance department staff to support overall departmental goals and objectives
  • Special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Mature professional with sound judgement and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency with standard suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently with attention to details
