Responsibilities

  • Assist in the global consolidation of platform entities
  • Prepare and assist in the drafting of quarterly and year-end reporting packages for quarterly and annual reporting
  • Assist the Corporate Tax Department in preparing tax projections
  • Preparing sales tax and tangible personal property returns
  • Prepare quarterly and annual information forms, including tax work papers
  • Prepare account continuities and cash flows for the consolidated and standalone legal entity
  • Prepare and post journal entries as required
  • Prepare wire transfer requests
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Maintain multiple general ledgers
  • Prepare balance sheet and income statement variance analysis for management under GAAP and Cash Basis
  • Review and analyze bank reconciliations, multiple general ledgers, financial statements and prepare appropriate accrual and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP and Cash Basis
  • Prepare detailed quarterly and year end work papers
  • Assist in the management of auditor engagements for completion of quarterly review and annual audit reports
  • Act as liaison between Corporate and other departments to maintain the proper flow of information and reporting
  • Special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2 - 4 years of real estate/property management experience, CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Mature professional with sound judgement and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP and experience preparing GAAP financial statements
  • Knowledge of Cash and Tax reporting preferred
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards general ledger a plus
  • Consolidations experience using HFM a plus
  • Proficiency with standard suite of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently with attention to details
