Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing, the Marketing Intern will assist in a variety of key marketing functions, including general project management; copywriting, research and development of marketing collateral; competitive analysis, concept development and daily management of digital strategy; partnership development; event conception and execution; and tenant relations.

 

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of exceptional standards in all tactics of marketing plan, including branding, research, digital initiatives, community/government relations, advertising (creative and media), special events and promotions, etc.
  • Coordinate digital strategy, including overall website responsibility; maintenance of database CRM; creation of weekly, monthly and annual analytic reports; and management of SEO, SEM, syndication, eblasts and social media.
  • Explore mobile marketing ideas, strategies and content to implement new social and mobile marketing programs that keep target groups informed and excited.
  • Compile and analyze data to determine financial resources required to implement new programs and initiatives as they develop. Work with a variety of stakeholders to confirm data points and create strategies.
  • Evaluate ongoing results of marketing objectives and corresponding strategies/tactics.
  • Create analytic reports for internal and external communications.
  • Conduct ongoing research to ascertain demographic reach and audience base as part of efforts to improve leasing efforts. Compile and cross reference research to create insights and strategies.
  • Work with supervisor to manage marketing budget.
  • Create presentations for partners to encourage tenant participation/support in pursuit of strategic goals.
  • Build tenant relationships to create a consortium for marketing programs that will increase participation and activation.
  • Evaluate trends and developments in trade area, local and regional economy and any other markets that may influence leasing efforts or positioning.
  • Work with leasing teams and asset managers to provide information and materials to support marketing and leasing efforts.
  • Write and edit external and internal presentations and documents.
  • Proofread materials, including brochures and digital, to maintain consistency and accuracy among all platforms.
  • Prepare correspondence for a variety of audiences, corporate and otherwise, regarding programs, projects, ideas, proposals, etc.
  • Direct and participate in community relations plans. Network in professional organizations with the appropriate communities for positive property positioning. Identify and manage key speaking engagements as part of overall marketing efforts.
  • Work with sponsorship/events team and Vice President to strategically seek opportunities, including evaluating brands and their promotional/sponsorship strategies, establishing key points of contact and creating storyboards for presentations.
  • Manage production cycle of creative work including pricing of print work; identifying requirements with Creative Director; working with project team to ascertain needs and quantities; identifying distribution outlets and sourcing solutions appropriately.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will be a rising senior or first year graduate student with the following skills:

 

  • BA or BS  (marketing preferred; all majors considered)
  • Minimum 3.2/4.0 GPA
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Keen Attention to Detail
  • High Energy; Possessed with Drive
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Excellent professional demeanor with the ability to work with a wide range of levels of management
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; expertise with excel
  • Hands on experience working in acquisition marketing or new product development.
  • Real estate and service industry knowledge a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
