Our real estate fund management team, staffed with industry veterans, leverages our core expertise as a real estate development and operating company and our significant finance experience to manage capital on behalf of Related and third party investors in a comingled format.

Our vertically integrated national platform offers a competitive advantage and the ability to build a diverse investment portfolio, both by product type and geography. The depth and breadth of our team allow us to address every aspect of a transaction including sourcing, due diligence, financing, construction, design, marketing and sales, leasing, property management and financial reporting.

The fund management platform is currently focused on three areas: distressed real estate opportunities, origination and acquisition of debt, and multi-family housing opportunities. Representative investments include the acquisition of failed residential developments in need of significant workouts and repositioning in New York and Florida, and providing senior financing for a commercial redevelopment in Illinois and a ground-up multifamily development in Florida.

The Equity Fund Management intern will focus on all aspects of real estate acquisitions and asset management. This position will be based in New York and report to the head of the group.  Specific activities for the role include:


  • Performing detailed financial analysis and valuation work
  • Overseeing acquisition due diligence process:
  1. Market analysis
  2. Preparation of leasing and sales comparables
  3. Management of third party service providers
  • Authoring comprehensive investment committee memos outlining investment rationale, deal returns, and key execution risks
  • Managing owned asset portfolio by assisting on refinancing, property sales, and the preparation of business plans


Our ideal candidate will be a rising senior with the following skills:


  • Minimum 3.2/4.0 GPA
  • Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Keen attention to detail
  • High energy; driven
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent professional demeanor with the ability to work with a wide range of levels of management
  • Relevant summer experience in corporate finance or real estate analysis
  • Real Estate focused degree/curriculum
  • Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
