High Paced 444 unit Affordable housing apartment complex in Astoria, Queens is seeking a Recertification Specialist/Assistant Community Manager to join their team. 


Responsibilities will include  processing initial, annual and interim recertification’s, in addition to retroactive rent-calculations while conforming to HUD regulations and HPD guidelines. Handling calculations for tenants with complex businesses and providing management with tenant relations. Additional task include; calculating rents for annual and interim recertification, identifying households with income reporting discrepancies and making rent-adjustments, reviewing applicant files and determining Section 8 eligibility.


Key skills for this role include major organization skills, Knowledge of Section 8 and Tax Credits,attention to detail and logic, above average customer service, problem identification and solving ability. Must be capable of overseeing multiple functions simultaneously, with a keen sense of prioritizing.


*High volume of recertification experience is a must

*Compliance Specialist Certificate is a plus 

**Spanish speaking or Greek is a plus


Pay: $50-60k/yr DOE 

Monday- Friday- 9am- 5pm
