In the area of acquisitions and refinancing, we pursue properties that meet one of the following criteria: Section 8 properties with project-based contracts; Section 236 properties in need of rehabilitation; Section 42 LIHTC properties with expiring low-income restrictions; Section 515 FmHA properties with loans that can be prepaid; or other assisted properties, including HODAG, HOME, federal or state-financed public housing.

Affordable housing apartment complex in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Recertification Specialist to join their team.
Responsibilities will include:
Processing initial, annual and interim recertification’s, in addition to retroactive rent-calculations while conforming to HUD regulations and HPD guidelines. Handling calculations for tenants with complex businesses and providing management with tenant relations. Additional task include; calculating rents for annual and interim recertification, identifying households with income reporting discrepancies and making rent-adjustments, reviewing applicant files and determining Section 8 eligibility.
Key skills for this role include major organization skills, Knowledge of Section 8 and Tax Credits,attention to detailand logic, above average customer service, problem identification and solving ability. Must be capable ofoverseeing multiple functions simultaneously, with a keen sense of prioritization.
