Managing large, complex projects, effectively applying the appropriate methodology and enforcing project standards. Managing day-today operational aspects of projects such as schedule, tracking progress, risk management, and reporting results. Assisting with training and mentoring of Jr. level project managers to align culture of organization.
Leadership experience with C+ level stakeholders, are able to keep meetings on track while challenging answers and ensuring that the correct requirements are documented.
Lead the organization in defining, developing, supporting and testing each solution that is documented through the lifecycle of the project if applicable.
Create Project Plans
Develop concrete, detailed plans for a project, including charter, requirements, schedule, budget, outlining of duties of each team member, and identifying project goals. They will collaborate with various teams within Hudson Yards and Related Corporate, hold meetings to develop project plans and present them to upper-level management before starting the project.
Monitor Project Progress
They will closely monitor each project they manage to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under budget, and develop according to plan. They will be responsible not only for identifying project objectives, but ensuring that they’re met.
Increase Efficiency within the PMO
They will continually try to improve the current processes put in place, look for ways to improve project outcomes, and always be on the proactive outlook for all things during their role.
Report Project Results
Once a project is complete, the PMO is responsible for gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting or presenting them to the appropriate parties. This usually includes the full stakeholder team and/or upper-level management. They should report on the success of the project and any setbacks that were encountered or room for improvement. They should be prepared to think strategically and help create efficiencies along with providing post-mortem documentation on what went well and what can be improved upon.
